TWO YEARS and 100 POSTS

Can you believe I have been blogging for two years?  Me either! It's gone by so quickly! I thought I would recap a few things I've created this past year with some photos. Please let me know your thoughts, likes and dislikes. I want to make this blog amazing! Thank you! Thank you! This is my 100th post as well!! Pretty cool!!!  I hope you have enjoyed reading my blogs as much as I enjoy making, creating, and sewing!! Thank you so much to my family, friends, and followers  for all your support and encouragement! See you next time!

Chalk It Up To The Shoes

The end of the school year is approaching, and I need to dig deep to keep my students motivated sometimes. I had a little idea that would make them laugh, and hopefully get them to the end of the year in good spirits. I've had these thrifted shoes for a while now, and I wasn't sure what to do with them. They were half price. I paid 2 whole dollars for them. If my idea didn't work out, I wouldn't be terribly upset. I knew I wanted to paint them, I just wasn't sure how. THEN THIS HAPPENED!!!! My idea sparked like lightning, and I could write not-so-subliminal messages to keep my students focused! Ureeka!! (Is that how you spell it?) Art Teaching at it's finest! Now, as I walk around the room, they are reminded to stay on task. This is a hard thing to do at the end of the year, even for high school students. I chalk it up to the shoes....get it? Let me know what you think. See you next time!
